This Week In The Studio
There are quite a few new orphans arriving but at the moment they are having to wait a while until they join a family as I'm in the process of a huge sort out of my studio space (which has become so full / overloaded / chaotic... it's a very small space, there's almost no room left for me)
They go through some laborious painting phases and spend quite a lot of time 'resting' until moving on to the next stage.

The Moretti Family

The Moretti family name sprung from the love of one of my favorite film directors, Italian Nanni Moretti. He's films are fantastically off-beat and non conformist, a million miles from the mundane and mainstream. He normally appears in his own films... to name a couple, The Son's Room, Aprile, Dear Diary.

Really did get stuck in the snow..
A big sorry to anyone who was expecting to see me and the orphans at The Assembly Room, Brighton. In the end the weather just made traveling too difficult.
If you were hoping to bag an orphan, here are several in this online shop, also at The Shop Floor Project and of course the Saltburn Artists Project (see earlier post)
I've heard the event was a great success and there are plans afoot for a similar event in the Spring...
